Coiling Security Closures

Shutter Categories
DewCrest is proud to be a dealer partner of Pentagon Security Shutters, an industry leading security shutter manufacturer established in 1979.
Our DefendaGuard security shutters are not catalog items; they are controlled closures specified for particular openings and situations. Each installation is designed to sit quietly with the architecture and, when required, to turn glass and doors into deliberate points of entry.
We use shutters to harden façades, protect interior spaces and give you a simple way to change the state of a property: daytime open, evening private, night‑time secure. The collections below reflect the most common ways our clients use shutters in houses, estates and discreet commercial premises.
Every configuration can be integrated with alarms, cameras and lighting, or installed as a purely mechanical measure where that is preferred.
Access barriers for any application
Every shutter we install is part of a wider arrangement. Profiles, guides, motors and controls are chosen not only for appearance and durability, but for how they will behave alongside alarms, cameras and other measures on the site.
We pay attention to:
-
How the façade reads by day, and how it should look at night
-
Which openings genuinely need this level of control—and which do not
-
How shutters will be used in practice: by staff, by family, by guests
-
What should happen when the wider security system changes mode
The result is a set of shutters that feel like part of the building, operated by simple, deliberate commands rather than a collection of switches.

Powered Shutters
Powered shutters are often used in situations where there are multiple units, or they need to be tied to a building automation system that opens and closes them at a certain time of day, or closes them when there's an intruder detected by alarms or motion sensors. Various types available for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, with a max width of 25' and max height of 19'.

Manual Shutters
Manual shutters are often used in situations where there are fewer units. Typically, these units will be relatively small, like the ones on counters and small windows, however they can be customized with large torsion springs that allow them to be operated by hand in large sizes.
